What is Computerized Dynamic Posturography?
Computerized Dynamic Posturography is an advanced balance assessment that objectively measures how well your body maintains stability under different conditions. During testing, you stand on a specialized force plate while visual surroundings and support surfaces change in carefully controlled ways.
The system measures tiny movements in your center of gravity and determines how effectively your brain uses information from your:
- Vision
- Inner ear vestibular system
- Muscles and joints (somatosensory system)
Unlike imaging studies that look at anatomy, CDP evaluates how these systems function together during everyday activities.
